The bristles are made of a mixture of soft vegetable fibers that help to gently polish the teeth, so you don't wear out the enamel or damage your gums.

Where do you throw away bamboo toothbrushes?
The different parts can be dismantled for proper disposal. The bristles are not biodegradable but can be recycled. The problem with recycled bristles is that they are very small and light. You may be able to find a solution by contacting your local recycling centre. But if not, the sows will have to be removed. With tweezers, it is easy to remove the sows from the head. In doing so, you will also remove a small metal clip that is used to hold the bristles to the handle. The handle can be reused or disposed of in a commercial compost bin.
